Registration opens soon through the University of Illinois Extension, LaSalle County
The Jr. Master Gardener Spin Club for youth ages 10-18 is provided in collaboraton with area Master Gardeners through the University of Illinois Extension. Participants will learn composting basics, seed starting, garden planning, plant nutrition, composition of soil and soil testing, as well as learning about beneficial insects and pollinators. Participants will take home a seed start kit, a take-home garden tool kit and tote, and a take home Beebot and jumbo pollinator guide/activity poster. Sprinkled throughout the sessions are games and activities. This SPIN club meets on the following six Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30PM:
