A woman and a dog with a graduation cap holding a "Therapy Dog Training" completion certificate.

Special Event-Meet & Greet with Edna and Frieda, certified therapy dog.

Edna and Frieda are new members of our Doggie Tales team. Doggie Tales is a fun and engaging program where pre-readers and readers ( even those kids just learning) read aloud to certified therapy dogs lie Frieda. Come meet Frieda at this special Kids Rock Story Time.

For children preschool through age 6, this after school program offers a fun, interactive hour of stories, songs, flannel board play, music and movement sprinkled with creative activities and crafts. Puppets, bells, shakers and scarves make for a great time, too.  After the activities, caregivers and kids can socialize.  The youth room has learning games, blocks, legos, puzzles and more for enjoyment. No registration is required so feel free to drop in for the fun.

The youth room is separate from the rest of the library offering a space where kids can be kids.  All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.   For more information, call the library at 815-883-3619 or reach out to Ms. Lynn at lsheedy@oglesbylibrary.org.
